The Liberty Union Lions lost against the Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Liberty Union took a hard 72-54 fall against Bloom-Carroll. Liberty Union has struggled against Bloom-Carroll recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Tomas Winter and Noah Shook certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Winter scored 14 points, while Shook scored 12 points along with nine rebounds. The game was Shook's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Luke Williams, who scored five points.
Liberty Union's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Bloom-Carroll, their win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-3.
Liberty Union will be home for the holidays to greet East at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bloom-Carroll, they will head out on the road to face off against Granville at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Granville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Bloom-Carroll likes a good challenge.
