Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Churubusco). Everything went their way against the Hamilton Marines on Thursday as they made off with an 18-3 win. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Marines recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Bransen Hart, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Churubusco is undefeated when Hart posts two or more runs, but 1-11 otherwise. Brady Knott was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Churubusco was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April.

Churubusco picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-11. As for Hamilton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Coming up, Churubusco will head out to face off against South Adams at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hamilton, they will be playing at home against Elkhart Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
