The Airport Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 74-51 walloping at the hands of North Augusta. Airport was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-20.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Antron Glover, who scored 18 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Glover has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tristan McCray, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Airport has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. As for North Augusta, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-7.
Airport does not have any more games scheduled as of now. North Augusta will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Midland Valley's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests.
