David Bishop Turns in Season-Best Effort
Fort Bend Austin was led to victory by David Bishop, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Bishop rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also picked up 35 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2023. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 95 yards.
Fort Bend Austin's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3. Bishop and Fort Bend Austin will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Fort Bend Travis at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.

Austin Carlisle Delivers Electric Performance Vs Fort Bend Bush
Ridge Point picked up their fourth consecutive win on Saturday thanks in part to Austin Carlisle. Carlisle was unstoppable, throwing for 134 yards and two touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes, and also rushing for 68 yards. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 63 yards.
If history really does repeat itself, Carlisle might just drop another big game when he faces off against Fort Bend Dulles on Thursday. Carlisle threw for 239 yards and four touchdowns while completing 88.2% of his passes the last time he and the Vikings duked it out back in September of 2023.
