The Anderson HomeSchool SONS's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 71-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fort Wayne HomeSchool. Anderson HomeSchool has not had much luck with Fort Wayne HomeSchool recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Anderson HomeSchool lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kailani McCloud, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. McCloud continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Bennett Long, who scored 20 points.
Fort Wayne HomeSchool was led to victory by Gavin Reynolds and Sam Newcomer. Reynolds scored 16 points along with eight assists, while Newcomer scored 20 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Newcomer is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Graber, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Anderson HomeSchool has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-16 record this season. As for Fort Wayne HomeSchool, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 28-3.
Anderson HomeSchool will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Legacy Christian at 7:30 p.m. on February 27th. Fort Wayne HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
