Joppa-Maple Grove is 0-10 against Century since November of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Meanwhile, after a string of ten wins, Century's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 45-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Meridian. Century has not had much luck with Meridian recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Karleigh Jones, who scored 17 points. Ashton Dillow was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Joppa-Maple Grove's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-8. As for Century, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-3.
Joppa-Maple Grove was dealt a bruising 84-19 defeat at the hands of Century in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Joppa-Maple Grove was down 38-8.
