The Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors pushed their score all the way to 63 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a serious blow against Beachside, falling 99-63. Trinity Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Barracudas apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played last Thursday.
Despite the loss, Trinity Christian Academy had strong showings from Jordan Martinez, who scored 19 points along with five steals, and Luke Baker, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. Baker has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Wheeler, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Trinity Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 14-8. As for Beachside, they pushed their record up to 12-11 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Trinity Christian Academy will take on the Kodiaks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Beachside, they will take on the Sharks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ponte Vedra presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Barracudas in Florida (the Sharks are ranked 71st, while the Barracudas are ranked 360th).
