Sadly, Great Commission are still looking for their first win of the season after five matchups. They fell to Calvary Christian Academy 39-33. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Great Commission of the 65-59 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Calvary Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jackson Suttles, who scored 14 points along with two steals. Suttles hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyrell Lapp, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Great Commission dropped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Calvary Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 12-4.
Great Commission will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Centre County Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on February 9th. Centre County Christian Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Bedford County CIA at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Calvary Christian Academy is facing Bedford County CIA at the right time seeing as Bedford County CIA is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
