Beckville took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They blew past the Queen City Bulldogs 20-3. The win continues a trend for the Bearcats in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.
Hannah Rogers was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. Rogers was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.
In other batting news, Emily Grandgeorge and Londyn Courtney did most of the damage at the plate: Grandgeorge scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in two of her five plate appearances, while Courtney scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
