Lawson Came Up Big in Marmaton Valley's 46-0 Win
Starting off the list is Marmaton Valley's Brayden Lawson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Lawson threw for 164 yards and three touchdowns on only nine passes, and also rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season.
If history really does repeat itself, Lawson might just drop another big game when he faces off against Crest on Friday. Lawson threw for 198 yards and five touchdowns on only 13 passes the last time he and the Lancers duked it out back in October of 2023.

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Jensin Barker stepped things up a notch to give Crest the 'W'. Barker was dynamite, rushing for 68 yards and two touchdowns.

Oswego found a leader in Demitri Williamson as the squad took down Northeast on Friday. Nobody could stop Williamson as he rushed for 50 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 22 yards and a touchdown.

Jaedon Granere Delivers Best Effort of Season
Marmaton Valley was led to victory by Jaedon Granere, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Granere wasn't messing around, picking up 81 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. The contest was his fourth straight with two or more receiving touchdowns dating back to last season.
Granere and Marmaton Valley will take on Crest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last time Granere took on the Lancers, he picked up 59 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Josh Hutchinson Makes It Two for Oswego
The second Oswego player making an appearance here is Josh Hutchinson, and for good reason. He rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making six total tackles and defending a pass.
Hutchinson might have his next game, a road matchup with Cedar Vale/Dexter, circled on his calendar. Hutchinson rushed for 183 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries the last time he and the Spartans duked it out back in October of 2023.
