There's no place like home for Burns, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the Cherryville Ironmen 91-68 on Monday. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 20 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Burns to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tye Clay, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten assists. That's the most assists Clay has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadon Beam, who went 8-for-13 en route to 19 points and eight boards.
Burns smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 15 consecutive contests.
Burns has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. As for Cherryville, their loss was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-24.
Burns wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 93-44 win against Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy on the 18th. Cherryville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
