After failing to score in their last  contest, Southern Cayuga made sure to put some  goals up on the board against Newark Valley  on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Cardinals  an   8-0 shutout. It was an even better day for  Braxton Young as  he scored three goals for  his team.
Southern Cayuga now  has a winning record of 2-1. As for Newark Valley,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 0-2.
