The Park School of Buffalo Pioneers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 83-53 loss at the hands of Canisius. The Park School of Buffalo was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-31.
The Park School of Buffalo lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Willy Kibowa Jr, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Singleteary, who scored 14 points along with three blocks.
The Park School of Buffalo struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
It was another big night for Pat Benzer, who scored 18 points for Canisius. Another player making a difference was Haile Doucet, who scored 12 points.
The Park School of Buffalo's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Canisius, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.
The Park School of Buffalo will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Nichols knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully the Pioneers likes a good challenge. Canisius is on the road again on Friday and plays the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Bishop Timon-St. Jude is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
