The Bell Griffins's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 83-36 loss at the hands of Parkside. Bell was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-26.
Leading Parkside to victory were Kasson James and Semaj Marshall. James scored 19 points, while Marshall scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Kelly, who scored 11 points.
Bell has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Parkside, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-8.
Bell's road trip will continue as they head out to face School Without Walls at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in District of Columbia (School Without Walls is ranked 19th, while Bell is ranked 33rd). As for Parkside, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on KIPP College Prep at 6:30 p.m. on January 29th. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Kaden Butler and James.
