The Pleasure Ridge Park Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 71-69 victory over Louisville Saints HomeSchool. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Pleasure Ridge Park has posted yet this season.
Loss or not, Louisville Saints HomeSchool got some senior leadership from Abel Shreve who scored 26 points along with seven steals and two blocks and Drew Hartman who scored 19 points along with two steals. Shreve continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ezekiel Taylor, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and two blocks.
The victory got Pleasure Ridge Park back to even at 8-8. As for Louisville Saints HomeSchool, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pleasure Ridge Park will face off against Fairdale at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Louisville Saints HomeSchool's road trip will continue as they head out to face Beth Haven at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Beth Haven will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
