Volleyball Recap: North Tahoe Wins Going Away Against Oasis Academy

North Tahoe entered their tilt with Oasis Academy on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Bighorns 3-0. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Lakers yet this season.

North Tahoe walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-18, 25-10.

North Tahoe can attribute much of their success to Marlo Johnson, who had ten digs and five aces. That's the most digs Johnson has posted since back in November of 2024. Makenna Larkins also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

They weren't the only good server: North Tahoe was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

North Tahoe's record now sits at 7-3. As for Oasis Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. North Tahoe is set to face off against their familiar foe West Wendover at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Oasis Academy will take on rival Sierra Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
