The Fairfield Falcons lost against the Classical Saints back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Fairfield took a serious blow against Classical, falling 67-38. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Fairfield has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Fairfield still got an impressive performance from Calen Wente, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. Wente scored a full 28.9% of Fairfield's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Fairfield struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Fairfield now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Classical, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with that win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairfield will be home for the holidays to greet Central Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Classical will be home for the holidays to greet Cunningham at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cunningham has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 379 points over their last five contests.
