Basic won the last time they faced Rancho and Mia Frias did her part to make sure it happened again. The Wolves secured a 50-46 W over the Rams on Wednesday thanks in part to Frias, who posted 29 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Basic's points.

Rancho lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Axa Jackobo, who went 6-for-10 on her way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayana McDonald, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 14 points.

Basic's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Rancho, they dropped their record down to 1-15 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Basic and Rancho will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Wolves are set to square off against their familiar foe Sports Leadership & Management at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Rancho will take on rival Chaparral at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
