Flanagan-Cornell has not had much luck with the Minutemen recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Flanagan-Cornell lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kesler Collins. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Collins has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Ruddy, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
It was another big night for Ethan Storm, who scored 25 points along with four steals for Lexington. Storm continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Griffen Hari, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Flanagan-Cornell has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-11 record this season. As for Lexington, their win bumped their record up to 19-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Flanagan-Cornell will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Knights at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Fieldcrest will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak. As for Lexington, they will head out on the road to take on the Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. El Paso-Gridley will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak alive.
