The Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks will head out on the road to face off against the Maricopa Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Ironwood Ridge will be strutting in after a win while Maricopa will be coming in after a loss.
On Friday, Ironwood Ridge got the win against Mountain View by a conclusive 18-2. The Nighthawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by eight runs or more this season.

Seve Sissac tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, Ironwood Ridge got a massive performance out of Tristin McQuay, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Wyatt Charnoki was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Ironwood Ridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Maricopa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Sahuarita, falling 20-1.
Maricopa saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Travis Varela, who went 1-for-3 with one run.
Ironwood Ridge's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-7. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Maricopa, their loss dropped their record down to 8-17.
Everything went Ironwood Ridge's way against Maricopa in their previous matchup back in April of 2015, as Ironwood Ridge made off with a 9-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Nighthawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
