Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cypress Creek). They walked away with a 74-67 victory over the Richardson Eagles on Saturday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Cypress Creek got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brock Givens out in front who went 6-for-12 en route to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tywan Collins, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten steals.

Cypress Creek's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Richardson, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Cypress Creek is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Cypress Ranch at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Richardson, they have already played their next contest, a 56-43 victory against Horn on the 24th.
