Baseball Recap: Falls City Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Falls City had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against the Knippa Crushers as they made off with a 13-2 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Beavers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Daylen Kowalik, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Austin Bordovsky was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run.

Falls City kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.2 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 10.

Falls City's record is now 8-6. As for Knippa, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Falls City will face off against Charlotte at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Falls City is facing Charlotte at the right time seeing as Charlotte is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Knippa, they will take on Sabinal at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Knippa will need to watch out since Sabinal has now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
