Moreau Catholic hasn't had much luck against Bishop O'Dowd recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mariners will be playing at home against the Dragons at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

The Mariners haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop O'Dowd). They simply couldn't be stopped last Friday as they easily beat Berkeley 55-12. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-6.
Bishop O'Dowd's win came from a few key players Moreau Catholic will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Lamar Ellis, who rushed for 129 yards and two TDs on only 13 carries. Another player making a difference was Christian Cermenelli-Johnson, who threw for 146 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six passes.
Bishop O'Dowd's run defense was locked in: Berkeley could only muster 2.2 yards per carry. The team can thank Jimmy Odowd for the heroic effort on defense: he. Bishop O'Dowd's run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 4.68 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 7.53 on average over their last five games.
Bishop O'Dowd's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. Ambrose Carroll got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Moreau Catholic picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-5. As for Bishop O'Dowd, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Moreau Catholic might still be hurting after the 35-9 loss they got from Bishop O'Dowd in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Mariners, Saliou Sow (who rushed for 94 yards and one score, and also picked up 38 receiving yards and one TD) won't be suiting up this time.
