Freeburg won the last time they faced East Alton-Wood River and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Midgets walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Oilers.

Waeltz Aubrey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits.

At the plate, Mylie LaFore was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Clara Rebstock was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs.

Freeburg's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for East Alton-Wood River, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9.

Freeburg will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Oilers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
