Luther extended their losing streak to six on Thursday, dropping them down to 2-6. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Del City Eagles. Those hits marked the first that he has got this season. Another player making a difference was Bo Browning, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
As for Del City, their victory bumped their record up to 6-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since March 16th.
On Del City's side, Jakobi Wormsley and Joshua Hardeman did most of the damage at the plate: Wormsley went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double, while Hardeman went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those three runs gave Wormsley a new career-high. Braxton Alexander was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI.
