Umatilla won the last time they faced Tenoroc, and Bryce Norflee did his part to make sure it happened again. The Bulldogs simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Titans 48-6 with plenty of help from Norflee, who picked up 152 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also punched in two rushing scores. His longest reception was for an incredible 78 yards.
Umatilla didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Norflee picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. Umatilla received some extra help from Tyler Pounders, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Umatilla has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
Umatilla and Tenoroc will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Bulldogs see the field they'll take on Eustis at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Tenoroc, their break will end when they face Weeki Wachee at 7:30 p.m. on September 5.
