Dumm Came Up Big in Northern Cambria's 28-0 Victory
Starting off the list is Northern Cambria's Ty Dumm, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Dumm rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also threw for 115 yards and a touchdown. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run.
If history really does repeat itself, Dumm might just drop another big game when he faces off against Conemaugh Township on Friday. When Dumm last faced the Indians back in September of 2023, he rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.

While Cole Wingard delivered a dominant performance on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for West Shamokin. Wingard turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 139 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 64 yards.
West Shamokin is on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7. Wingard and West Shamokin will square off against Conemaugh Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Sam Yanits was instrumental in extending River Valley's winning streak to six on Friday. Conemaugh Valley had no answer to Yanits as he rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns. Yanits was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 68 yards.
If the past is any indication, Yanits could be in store for another big game when he takes on Marion Center on Friday. When Yanits last faced the Stingers back in September of 2023, he rushed for 59 yards and two touchdowns, and also caught a touchdown.
