Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Benjamin Mustangs walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Cougars 52-4 on the road. Fans of Benjamin have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
It was another big night for Grayson Rigdon, who rushed for 323 yards and six touchdowns on only eight carries. Rigdon was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 67 yards.
The win for Benjamin keeps them at an undefeated 14-0. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 52.24 points. As for Klondike, their loss dropped their record down to 11-2.
Benjamin will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Oglesby at 2:00 p.m. on December 13th. Oglesby knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 contests -- so hopefully Benjamin likes a good challenge. Klondike does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
