The Senn Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Mather Rangers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Senn is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
On Friday, Senn was able to grind out a solid win over Von Steuben, taking the game 9-4.
Audrey Lebovitz was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 18 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Pippa Gerharz and Gabrielle Smith did most of the damage at the plate: Gerharz went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Smith got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Gerharz is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Margelys (Victoria) Rodriguez also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Senn was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .357 or higher in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Mather didn't have quite enough to beat Prosser on Monday and fell 11-10.
Mather saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dahli Sanchez, who got on base in three of her seven plate appearances with two runs.
Senn pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.4 runs over those games. As for Mather, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Mather's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Senn hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .413. It's a different story for Mather, though, as they've only averaged .201. Will they be able to contain Senn's hitters?
Senn suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to Mather when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
