Basketball Recap: Legacy Charter's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

After losing to Father Lopez the last time they met, Legacy Charter decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Legacy Charter Eagles enjoyed a cozy 84-68 win over the Father Lopez Green Wave on Friday. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 191st, while the Green Wave are ranked 434th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Legacy Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Khori Polarchy, who went 9 for 14 en route to 23 points along with eight boards and five assists. That's the most points Polarchy has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Trevor Miller, who went 8 of 10 on his way to 19 points and seven rebounds.

The victory (which was Legacy Charter's fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.3 points per game. As for Father Lopez, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.

Legacy Charter will challenge Trinity Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Legacy Charter's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups. Father Lopez has already played their next contest (against Calvary Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
