The Solon Comets will face off against the Nordonia Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Solon made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Twinsburg, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Comets fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Comets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Nordonia's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They came up short against Brecksville-Broadview Heights, falling 17-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Knights have suffered since March 26th.
Kaylee Bene and Haydn Paul stepped up to the plate in a big way. Bene went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI, while Paul went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Kirra Smeal, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Nordonia's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Solon has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.2 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Nordonia, though, as they've been averaging only 3 strikeouts. Will Solon keep running through batters, or will the Knights buck the trend?
Solon got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against Nordonia by a conclusive 12-2 score. Do the Comets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
