The South Central Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the St. Paul Flyers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Central is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, South Central was the victim of a rough 69-45 loss at the hands of Buckeye Central.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Gunner Ray, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Knoll, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, even though Mapleton scored an imposing 59 points on Friday, St. Paul still came out on top. St. Paul came out on top in a nail-biter against Mapleton and snuck past 62-59. The victory was just what St. Paul needed coming off of a 73-40 defeat in their prior matchup.
South Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for St. Paul, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
South Central couldn't quite finish off St. Paul in their previous matchup back in February and fell 54-52. Can South Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
