Klahowya has gone 8-2 against Vashon Island recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. Klahowya will take on Vashon Island at 4:00 p.m. Klahowya is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Klahowya barely beat Kingston the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Klahowya's pitchers stepped up to hand Kingston a 6-0 shutout on Friday. Considering the Eagles have won four games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Vashon Island gave up the first runs on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They put the hurt on South Whidbey with a sharp 13-4 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Pirates considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Charlie Walker and Jude Dardeau were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Walker struck out six batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Meanwhile, Dardeau tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At bat, Walker scored four runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4, while Dardeau scored two runs while going 2-for-5. Those two runs gave Dardeau a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Colt Holloway, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-5. Brent Calhoun was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI.

The victory got Vashon Island back to even at 1-1. As for Klahowya, their record now sits at 5-0.

Klahowya came up short against Vashon Island in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, falling 9-4. Can Klahowya avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
