The Franklin Wildcats waltzed into their game Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 60-52 win over Edgewood. With that victory, Franklin brought their scoring average up to 50.8 points per game.
It was another big night for Kai Cook, who scored 32 points along with six rebounds. Carter Black was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.
Franklin's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for Edgewood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin will take on Wilmington at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Edgewood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Miamisburg at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Miamisburg knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully Edgewood likes a good challenge.
