Lakeland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nate Keil led the charge by scoring 26 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Keil has scored at least 25% of Lakeland's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Cook, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
South Bend Career Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Lakeland, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Bend Career Academy will take on Bethany Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bethany Christian is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. Lakeland won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against West Noble at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th.
