The Glenns Ferry Pilots can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent match on Saturday. Everything went their way against Castleford as Glenns Ferry made off with a 61-41 victory. The win was just what Glenns Ferry needed coming off of a 62-38 loss in their prior matchup.
Glenns Ferry was led to victory by Jazmin Arevalo and Sahira Arevalo. Arevalo scored 20 points along with nine steals and five assists, while Arevalo dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Arevalo also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Kambelle King was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Glenns Ferry's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Castleford, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glenns Ferry will challenge Raft River at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Castleford on the road again on Monday and play against Murtaugh at 7:30 p.m. on January 22nd. Murtaugh presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Castleford in Idaho (Murtaugh is ranked 29th, while Castleford is ranked 117th).
