On Friday, it was close, but Pendleton sidestepped Oglethorpe County for a 50-48 win.
Pendleton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Luke Gray led the charge by scoring 16 points along with five rebounds. The matchup was Gray's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Garon Blalock, who scored 11 points.
The victory got Pendleton back to even at 6-6. As for Oglethorpe County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.
Pendleton is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Bleckley County at 5:30 p.m. on December 27th. Oglethorpe County and Thomson will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Thomson's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
