Vaux Big Picture lost against Carver High School of Engineering & Science back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Vaux Big Picture was outmatched by the on the road and fell 59-19. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Vaux Big Picture has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Vaux Big Picture lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cameron Rembert. Despite the final result, he scored seven points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Rembert is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last ten games he's played.
Carver High School of Engineering & Science found their leader in underclassman Sahin Rodriguez, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Tali Simpkins, who scored eight points.
This is the second loss in a row for Vaux Big Picture and nudges their season record down to 7-9. As for Carver High School of Engineering & Science, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vaux Big Picture won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Knights at 3:15 p.m. on January 23rd. Strawberry Mansion will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Carver High School of Engineering & Science, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rockets at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Science Leadership Academy at Beeber is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road.
