Baseball Recap: Amery's Win Ends Eight-Game Losing Streak on the Road

The Amery Warriors made easy work of the Turtle Lake/Clayton Lakers on Friday and carried off a 10-2 victory.

Amery let Michael Morrissey and Valdin Anderson run wild. Morrissey went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI, while Anderson went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases Anderson has posted since back in April. Sam Streich was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Amery's win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 9-9.

Looking ahead, Amery will head out to square off against Luck/Frederic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Turtle Lake/Clayton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
