Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Academy Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Faith Christian Academy extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Andrew Kelly. The Faith Christian Academy Conquerors really took it to the Jacksonville Christian Academy Conquerors for the full four quarters, racking up a 71-44 win thanks in part to Kelly, who went 9 for 13 on his way to 20 points in addition to eight rebounds and six steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Howard, who posted 17 points along with five assists and four steals. He has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played.

Despite the loss, Jacksonville Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Kellen Evans, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards. Joshua Barrientos was another key player, putting up ten points.

Faith Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.7 points per game. As for Jacksonville Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Faith Christian Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Trinity Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Jacksonville Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 56-52 victory against Bethel Assembly Christian Academy on the 17th.
