The Evans Knights lost against the Greenbrier Wolfpack last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Evans fell to Greenbrier 38-32. Evans has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Evans' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Briyanna Jones, who scored six points along with eight rebounds, and Kimariya Hinton who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds. Hinton is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.
Evans bumped their record down to 2-7 with that loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.5 points per game. As for Greenbrier, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
Evans is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Harlem at 6:30 p.m. on December 19th. Greenbrier will be home for the holidays to greet Richmond Hill at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Richmond Hill presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Greenbrier in Georgia (Richmond Hill is ranked 133rd, while Greenbrier is ranked 371st).
