Ellinwood waltzed into their contest on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They claimed a resounding 61-29 victory over the Otis-Bison Cougars. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 23 points or more this season.

Ellinwood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alyvia Batchman led the charge by almost dropping a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds. Those nine boards gave Batchman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Julia Schlessiger, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.

Ellinwood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 17 consecutive matches.

Ellinwood pushed their record up to 17-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.2 points over those games. As for Otis-Bison, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
