Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mackinac Island to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lakelyn Bunker, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 17 rebounds. Bunker is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for four games straight. Makayla Rickley was another key contributor, dropping a triple-double on 14 points, ten rebounds, and 14 assists.
Nah Tah Wahsh dropped their record down to 0-10 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.5 points per game. As for Mackinac Island, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.
Nah Tah Wahsh and the Black Bears will face off at 5:00 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Big Bay de Noc will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Mackinac Island, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the Wolverines at 1:00 p.m. on February 9th.
