It was fun while it lasted, but Bridges Prep's undefeated season came to an end after four games on Friday. They took a 52-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the John Paul II Golden Warrriors. The match marked the Buccaneers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Bridges Prep's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was A Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. That was a full 34.9% of Bridges Prep's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Q Young, who earned five points along with seven assists and six boards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Bridges Prep fell to 4-1. As for John Paul II, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Bridges Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-46 defeat against May River on the 14th. John Paul II has also already played their next game, a 49-43 win against Bethesda Academy on the 16th.
