After losing to Spotswood the last time they met, Heritage decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Pride won by a run and slipped past the Trailblazers 7-6.
Aiden Delaney made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Delaney was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in five of his six plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Heritage will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Battlefield at 6:00 p.m. on April 7. As for Spotswood, they will square off against Sherando at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Trailblazers 1.8, the Warriors 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
