Butte Valley has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Happy Camp Indians at 5:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Saturday, Butte Valley came up short against Maxwell and fell 68-55.
Meanwhile, Happy Camp had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 59-57 win from a begrudging Indianssquad.
Happy Camp had a senior duo take command as Michael Hauki dropped a double-double on 20 points and 16 rebounds and Luis Osorio scored 21 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Osorio is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Tyler Hahn, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Butte Valley now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Happy Camp, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.
Butte Valley came up short against Happy Camp when the teams last played back in January, falling 51-40. Thankfully for Butte Valley, Carnell Bailey (who went 7 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 29 points and 1 assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
