The Irvington Bulldogs will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Yonkers Montessori Academy Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on February 7th.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 59-29, which was the final score in Irvington's tilt against the Pride on Saturday. Irvington was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-8.
Meanwhile, Yonkers Montessori Academy stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Yonkers 65-25 at home. Winning may never get old, but Yonkers Montessori Academy sure is getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
Irvington's loss dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Yonkers Montessori Academy, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Irvington strolled past the Eagles when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a score of 55-40. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Yonkers Montessori Academy's Ana Ndoci, who scored six points along with 16 rebounds and seven blocks.
