The Montpelier Solons scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 86-38 victory over Lamoille on the road. The win was a breath of fresh air for Montpelier as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Montpelier got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Carter Bruzzese out in front who scored 18 points along with six steals. That's the first time this season that Bruzzese scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Carson Cody, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Montpelier's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Lamoille, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Montpelier will be home for the holidays to greet Harwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lamoille, they will head out on the road to face off against Peoples Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Peoples Academy and Lamoille are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
