Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg hit Mattoon with a four-run seventh inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Greenwave fell just short of Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg by a score of 6-5. The Greenwave's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Madden Johnson was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Johnson wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Joseph Stewart, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Mattoon's loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

While Mattoon had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
