The Village School of Naples Knights entered their tilt with the Naples Classical Academy with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. The Village School of Naples came out on top against the Academy by a score of 76-67 on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Several Academy players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shane Churchill, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Layne Rachu, who scored 15 points.
The Village School of Naples pushed their record up to 10-8 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.6 points per game. As for Naples Classical, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-14.
The Village School of Naples will head out on the road to challenge the Shamrocks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Naples Classical does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
